Eder Santos was born in Belo Horizonte | Minas Gerais | Brazil, where he lives and works.
His video features are in the permanent collections of institutions such as MoMA,
Centre Georges Pompidou and are also represented internationally by Electronic Arts
Intermix (New York) and London Electronic Arts. In Brazil, Luciana Brito Galeria (São Paulo),
Galeria Celma Albuquerque and Mendes Wood Gallery (both in Belo Horizonte).
He was awarded at various editions of the Videobrasil Festival, the Festival del Cine
de Cuba, and the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema and others. His
exhibitions include ExitArt, held at the Chisenhale Gallery in London (2000), Rede
de Tensão : two Brazil Biennials, Havana's Biennial, World Wide Video Festival and others.

“Roteiro Amarrado” (Tied-up Script) took place this year in the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center
in Rio de Janeiro and was a retrospective of the artist’s works since 2001.
Eder’s newest single channel video “Cinema” was released this year at the Rotterdam Film Festival
and was also presented at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival. |
